It is with great sadness that I acknowledge the recent passing of former Prime Minister and visionary Gough Whitlam. He was a giant of Australian Politics who transformed our country for the better. His commitment to social justice, the arts, tertiary education, women’s rights and the environment are some of the many reasons he is remembered so fondly today.
This coming Wednesday 5th November Sydney Town Hall will host a public memorial for Mr Whitlam. Unfortunately the event is now sold out but will be televised on the ABC from 10:30am for those who are interested.
