Rallying for marriage equality in 2012

Last weekend I was once again asked to represent the Greens at a rally for marriage equality.  I am grateful for the fact that I have been invited to address such rallies on multiple occasions, however it is somewhat saddening that  in 21st Century Australia these rallies are still needed, that the LGBTI community is still subjected to legalised discrimination in terms of who they can marry.

The Greens have always supported marriage equality and will continue to fight for it until the LGBTI community are given the same rights enjoyed by their heterosexual brothers and sisters.  The speech I gave can be found here.
